In 2009, they settled in South Korea before moving to the United States in 2014. Park has spoken out about her experiences as a North Korean defector and has become an activist for human rights. Her family turned to black-market trading during the North Korean famine in the 1990s, which led to Park’s education being cut short. Despite all of this, she has persevered and is now living her life to the fullest. Park is an inspiration to us all and her story is one that should be shared with the world.
