Since the Korean War, which ended in 1953, North Korea has been involved in a number of military confrontations with South Korea and its allies. These have ranged from small-scale border skirmishes to full-scale wars, such as the Korean War and the Second Korean War. In addition, North Korea has been regularly accused of sponsoring terrorist attacks and international incidents, such as the bombing of a Korean Airlines flight in 1987.<\/p>\n

Since 1948, North Korea has been involved in three major wars: the Korean War, the Second Korean War, and the Third Korean War. Each of these wars has been fought against South Korea, with the exception of the Third Korean War, which was fought against a coalition of South Korea, the United States, and Japan.<\/p>\n
