I just wanted to share a little bit about my family history with you. My maternal grandfather was born in what is now North Korea. His family was forced to flee to South Korea during the Korean War, and they never returned. My mother and I visited North Korea in 2022 and it was an amazing experience. We were able to meet some of my grandfather’s extended family and learn more about our history.
I also want to tell you that I’m very proud of my Korean heritage. I studied biomedical engineering at the University of Cincinnati, but I dropped out to pursue my YouTube career. I’m glad that I did, because it’s been a great success. But I always keep my roots in mind and I’m proud to be part of a great country like Korea.
